A liberated marionette

Amrita tagged me earlier today to list eight random facts/habits that make you a total freak. No, minus the total freak, just list eight random facts/habits about your lovely self. To me, tagging is almost like chain letters, and I am going to break the rules in that I have no clue who I am going to tag, but here are the rules to play the right way (I’ve probably gone beyond eight hours, but I think I’ve lived all the lifetimes I am going to live, so am not too anxious about the goals!!!)

1. Each player starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged, write a blog post about their own 8 random things, and post these rules.
3. At the end of your post you need to tag 8 people and include their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment and tell them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
4. If you fail to do this within eight hours, you will not reach Third Series or attain your most precious goals for at least two more lifetimes.

1) I spend an inordinate time when I am alone creating scenarios in my head with people I know, or want to know. These never get translated onto a page because. . . well anyway. . .

2) My least favorite vegetable, if that is what it is, is something we call tinDa. Once upon a time, I used to call people who annoy me tinDa head. If anyone can tell me what it is in English, I am still going to avoid it.

3) I do not like sleeping with the lights off.

4) I have developed a habit where I never seem to be able to finish a novel I begin. I leave it midway, and begin another one, hoping to return to the previous one. It is a great feat to read all the way through any book for me these days.

5) My very first nickname was something similar to that of a cartoon in the Pakistan Times as well as a Pakistani comedian.

6) The movies I have seen again and again and again have either Rajesh Khanna, or Peter O’Toole in them. I could watch The Lion in Winter until the day I die and never tire of it.

7) I love Boney M. Even if they did not use their own voices. (I think they did though) That one dude’s raspy voice, “Can you waddle” or “Oh those Russians”, awesome.

8) I do not want to live or die in LA.
